Latest Updates from Our Project:
The Process Continues - April Update

Hello Adventures,
Thank you guys for all of your continued patience and support. Splattered Ink is a very small team, and we're taking the hits as they come. Currently, the biggest hurdle that we face is manufacturing.
Sadly, manufacturing is taking longer than I originally planned or expected. I've sent in everything in a timely manner, but on the manufacturer's end, there has been one delay after another. In October, I originally received samples that the color was messed up on due to the manufacturers changing their printers during the course of the project. This didn't get resolved until December, which should've allowed for manufacturing to start in January. In February, Chinese New Year routinely shuts the whole industry down. Work resumed in March, but they have not given me a new timeline for when the project will be finished. I was only given an estimate of 90 days.
I am yet to receive a concrete completion date. I am as frustrated by this whole series of events as all of you. I wish there were more that I could do, but the process is out of my hands. I thought the project was close to wrapping up and would headed to fulfillment, but sadly, that is not the case. I will continue to regularly check with our manufacturer to try and get your tokens to you as possible. It is unlikely I use this manufacturer in the future, but at this point in the process, I am committed.
Thank you all.
Sincerely,
Darryl T. Jones (aka Splattered Ink)
Missing Villager Tokens & PNG sizing

Greetings from Gary Con!
I hope you're having a warm spring. It's been below 30 and snowing most of the time I've been in Lake Geneva. However, Gary Con has been a blast!
I'm still showing the original samples and everyone loves them.
Updated Delivery Timeline
There has been another delay. For reasons that are out of my hands, after Chinese New Year, I was told by our manufacturer that it would be another 90 days before the order was done. Unfortunately, there's nothing I, or any of us can do but be patient as most of the order has been paid for. I know this isn't what you want to hear. It isn't what I wanted to hear either.
This means we're looking at fulfillment beginning in July.
Also, it's important to note, refunds are not available at this time as manufacturing has begun.
Missing Villager PNGs
It's been reported to me that the Villagers set was not included in the last PNG distribution. Check your inboxes, they should be there now!
PNG sizing
In the zip folders, you should have received a file, "READ ME - sizing instructions for VTT.txt". Some of you have asked about sizing for VTT platforms, so I'm including that text here for easy reference.
--== READ ME ==--
FORMAT & RESOLUTION: All tokens are in PNG format and drawn at a very high resolution, 700dpi. This is so you can zoom in without pixelation while using your chosen VTT application. This also allows you to use these tokens at double or even tripple their intended size and you wont lose any detail (for example if someone casts an Enlarge spell).
SIZE:
Artwork is often larger than its bounding box. This allows for wings, tails, weapons and other details to extend beyond the creature's predetermined size.
Medium creatures are designated at 1 unit square or 5'x5'
Large creatures are designated at 2x2 units square or 10'x10'
Huge creatures are designated at 3x3 units square or 15'x15'
Gargantuan creatures are designated at 4x4 units square or 20'x20'
To allow for the details that extend beyond the bounding box of a creatures designated size, most medium sized creatures are 1,200 pixels wide. That means the medium creatures in this collection are 1.724 units square.
You can manually enlarge these tokens when you place them in your VTT. Some VTTs, like Foundry allow you to set the Scale(Ratio) for your tokens. Which means that for recommended scale in Foundry, set the Scale(Ratio) to 1.714 in Token Image Settings for medium tokens that are 1200 pixel wide.
SCALE:
Medium (1x1 bounding box) creatures that are 1200px wide = 1.714 Scale(Ratio)
Large (2x2 bounding box) creatures that are 1600px wide = 1.142 Scale(Ratio)
Huge (3x3 bounding box) creatures that are 2800px wide = 1.33 Scale(Ratio)
Gargantuan (4x4 bounding box) creatures that are 3500px wide = 1.25 Scale(Ratio)
Most (not all) token files of each creature size are the same number of pixels square.
Look at how many pixels wide each file is and divide that number by the width (at 700 pixels per inch) that the designated bounding box size is for that creature. Using Huge from above, divide 2800px by 2100px getting 1.33.

Big Announcement Coming!
This fall we'll be making more tokens! But, not before you have these beauties in your hands! I can tell you what the announcement is, but it rhymes with Gnome of Feasts and Fauxbald Dress. Any guesses?
Thank you all for your continued support! Keep Adventuring,

1200+ Digital Tokens Sent! And what's next?

Hello adventurers!
The Chinese New Year is coming to an end, and to celebrate, I've sent out the rest of the regular release and SRD tokens that were part of this Kickstarter. It's while sorting through the final details of this project, like zipping hundreds of MB of PNGs, that I appreciate how truly massive it is. Due to the 250 MB upload limit on Backerkit, the tokens had to broken into 11 zip files, eight for 3-of-Each backers and three for 1-of-Each backers.
You should have them in your inbox...
...now!
You can also find your digital downloads on your Backerkit account using your survey link. Then click on Get Your Digital Downloads.
One of the most popular sets was the Enemy Hordes. You can see below some of the previously unreleased tokens. Take a good long look at the orc caster and that lizardfolk spearman.
One of my favorite bits of inspiration for this project was to create additional worm sections for the purple worm! Those also were previously unreleased, but not anymore! See below!
Updated Delivery Timeline
Manufacturing is underway and the timeline is largely out of my hands. I will do my best to keep you updated if there are changes. Additionally, the shipping charges should be finalized in the next few weeks. I'll post an update as soon as I have them and you'll be able to pay via Backerkit. The expected timeline is as follows.
March: manufacturing completes
April - May: freight window
June - July: fulfillment window
I can't thank you enough for your ongoing support throughout this project. I've learned a lot and those lessons will help me run this business.
The Neverling is Coming!
Now that all of my projects are tucked safely away with manufacturing, I thought I should share my newest machination. A one-shot (probably two-shot) for Zine Quest!
We are happy to announce that The Neverling is coming to Kickstarter later this month. The Neverling is a Zine Quest adventure for 5e in the Seeds of Decay world.
The Neverling was written for Seeds of Decay, but I found it didn't fit the overall narrative for that book. However, the clockwork tower and the Neverling, a nightmarish awakened tree, were too good to scrap. It was then I realized I liked the idea of releasing a few small pdf adventures for Seeds of Decay as lead-ins to the next big book. That book is a long way off, but the Neverling is ready to go!
The Neverling book will be approximately 32 pages long, to be delivered as a PDF via DriveThruRPG. A printed version will be available in the traditional, saddle-stitched (stapled) zine-style, shipped via media mail.
Here is a breakdown of the content:
8 hand-drawn illustrations of NPCs, monsters, and items
4 hand-drawn maps
4 locations with keyed descriptions; Pine Loft, Timberborn, the Clockwork Tower, and the Catacombs
Every year Kickstarter launches Zine Quest, an initiative to promote more TTRPG projects and smaller publications on their platform. What are Zines? "RPG zines emerged in the early 1970s, and were hugely influential in the early days of role-playing game fandom and publishing." - Kickstarter call for Zine Quest 2024
Thank you all for your continued support! Keep Adventuring,

Manufacturing, Call for GMs, and the Chinese New Year

Happy 2024!
Below you can see some of the tokens requested by those who pledged to the exclusive Your Own Token tier. I think they came out pretty nice! I really like Narby, the green dragon! Thanks backers!
Manufacturing and the Chinese New Year
First, some very good news: Manufacturing is underway!
However, as manufacturing is running its course, we have come to the Chinese New Year. Like most Board Game Companies, we use manufacturers in China; and, most industries in China observe the Chinese New Year holiday, taking much of the month of February off. Due to that, we are going to have to wait until the holiday is over before the product can be sent to our fulfillment partners. That being said, everything is very close. Honestly, I'm giddy. Everything should be on boats just a few weeks after the CNY holiday finishes.
We Need Volunteers to GM Seeds of Decay at Origins and Gen Con
We are looking for adventurers just like YOU to run Seeds of Decay 5e at Origins and GenCon this year! Sessions will last around 2 hours.
What's in it for you
Exclusive Splattered Ink swag
Our immense gratitude
A Convention Badge giving you access to the full convention (if you run a minimum of 6 games)!
If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me an email, [email protected].
Happy Chinese New Year, Darryl T. Jones (aka Splattered Ink)

Merry Christmas Adventurers!
I hope you've had a wonderful holiday, enjoyed time with friends and family, and hopefully, a time filled with gaming!
I have word that we'll be able to begin manufacturing next month. I hope to have some photos to share sometime before the end of January. At that time I should have final shipping costs.
Below is some previously unreleased art from the traps and decor set. I'm really pleased with how these came out!
