European Region Shipping Update! 😄

BIG NEWS: The token reprints are finished and the color errors are corrected! To expedite shipping, we've decided to have the tokens air-shipped from our manufacturer to our fulfillment partners in the EU. We are doing our best to do right by you, even though air shipping incurs a significant extra cost compared to overseas freight shipping. We didn't want you to have to wait until October-November for the reprinted tokens to arrive in the EU.
These tokens are scheduled to arrive at our fulfillment partner's warehouse in the Netherlands this week! We were last told that they should arrive by Wednesday, but we're still waiting to hear final confirmation from our partners. Barring a last-minute change to their arrival, we will start sending out packages that include the printing error within a matter of days.
For the tokens that were not affected by printed errors, we are sending out those tokens right now! Everything is moving quite fast! They have been prepared, and labels are queued for printing. Some have already gone out. They should all go out over the course of the next few days.
All EU packages should be sent by the end of the month.
REMINDER: Now that we’re starting to print shipping labels and send out packages, we ask for your patience. Please give it a couple of weeks for your package to arrive before reaching out to us with any concerns or support requests. We appreciate your understanding!
North American Reprints
For North American backers, reprints and corrections will arrive soon, but we need you to be patient a little longer. But, as we did for our EU backers, we decided to have the tokens air-shipped from our manufacturer.

Reprinting is underway and should finish soon. We are in the final steps before fulfillment in the EU begins.
North American & Asian Backers
The first phase of fulfillment is complete! We will begin another round of fulfillment to replace damaged or incorrect items once EU fulfillment is underway. If you have any problems with your rewards, we're still collecting your customer service requests on the Google Form linked in the last update.
Short and sweet today! Good news is, reprints should be finished soon. There is light at the end of the tunnel! Barring any other unforeseen setbacks, EU fulfillment will begin soon and replacements and corrections can start going out soon after.

EU Backers
Let's start off with the good news: the tokens have officially finalized VAT clearance! ❤️ Originally shipping was going to start immediately after clearing VAT, but since then, we have learned about printing and packaging errors. We have decided to reprint tokens and correct these issues before shipping out your orders. These errors that came to light after receiving customer support requests from fulfilling tokens in the other parts of the world. This decision was not made lightly, but it is the only solution that is viable. Reprinting and shipping additional tokens will be a major expense for Splattered Ink we did not foresee or plan for. The following is a breakdown of the errors that require reprints and how we're going to address them.
Until the issues are addressed and your packages are fixed with the corrected tokens, we have to hold them. We are doing everything we can to make sure you receive the correct tokens you ordered during the campaign.We simply can't afford multiple shipments to each customer. We're currently talking to our manufacturing partners and will provide a timeline once we settle on one. Please read the token error section of this update to get an idea of the issues and why we had to make this decision. We are very sorry that fulfillment in the EU is postponed again.
Token Errors: What They Are and How We're Addressing Them
Since receiving customer service requests from North American and Asian backers, we have noticed there are errors in this first print run of tokens. While of course we wish that there were no errors, due to the size, complexity, and sheer number of tokens, errors were almost unavoidable. This project is not your typical board game or RPG Kickstarter project. There were over 400, organized 50 different ways and 41,000 sheets printed. However, it appears most (but not all) of the errors are tied to those who picked sets a la carte. Those who did, experienced how tedious it was to answer those questions through Backerkit. Of course, no fault to Backerkit, but another lesson learned for Splattered Ink. Without further delay, here are the four primary errors we've learned about during fulfillment.
Error 1: Backers who pledged for a Red & Black dragons set received the Blue & Green Dragons set instead. As a result, we need to print more Red & Black Dragons sets.
Error 2: Backers who pledged for the Mounts & Giants set received the Giants sets instead. As a result, we need to print more Mounts & Giants sets.
Error 3: The Insects & Plants set seems to have not been printed at all. In result, we need to print the Insects & Plants set.
Error 4: For the "2 of each" and "3 of each" pledges, several of the sheets in set B do not have the correct color variation. As a result, we need to print the correct color variations for sheets 3-24 on set B.
How are we going to address these errors?
We are going to take the cost fully out of our own pocket. This includes manufacturing and shipping costs. We made these errors, and we don't expect you to have to pay for them.
Our goal has been and continues to be providing the best experience possible for everyone. While this project has received multiple bumps in the road, we've tried to take them in stride. We want you to have the best tokens we can make because we believe in this product and want to do what is right by you. I hope our actions in the face of the setbacks speaks louder than what I am writing here. Every time we've had an issue, we've figured out a solution and moved passed it. We ask that you continue to have patience as we work toward a solution.
We're currently speaking with our manufacturing partners to get copies of the corrected tokens. We will provide a timeline on when you should expect to see the tokens on a later date.
What do you have to do to receive the corrected tokens?
We're providing a Google form for you to mark what tokens you need to receive, the address we need to send the tokens to, and other relevant information. If you have already sent me an email, I ask that you still fill out the Google form. Filling out the form will ensure that we send you the right tokens.
If you're an EU backer, you don't have to fill out the Google form. We are holding your packages to make sure that your package is correct before sending them out.
If you don't fill out this form, then we may not be able to send you corrected tokens.
How about issues that don't pertain to these errors? (i.e. shipping damage, missing binders, etc.)
If your package does not have one of the above-listed errors and a different type of issue (like shipping damage), we will send corrections as soon as possible.
If your package has both one of the above-listed errors and a different type of issue (like shipping damage), we will send corrections when we are able to send the correction for the errors. This approach will save time and money on our end. As you can imagine, this is an expensive fix, and being able to send out one package instead of two is a huge help.
Please note, the protective film on the tokens may appear cloudy or scratch, please remove that before reporting any scratches or similar damage.
Labeled Sheets and Updated Token List
Over the past two weeks, I have been gone through the digital files of the acrylic, labeling them so you can more easily identify each token. I finished them just in time for this update! 👍
There are two different sets of labeled sheets available, depending on the tier you backed. The first set is for the backers who order individual sets, and the second is for the backers who order one of the "X of each" tiers.
I also edited the spreadsheet that lists all of the tokens. As mentioned, due to the size, complexity, and sheer number of tokens, discrepancies were made. In fact, most of the changes we made actually added tokens to the sets you bought. Anytime we saw that there was space on an acrylic sheet, Darryl actually added a token to fill that space. There are only a couple of instances where we provided one token where we originally said there were going to be two copies of the token.
In reference to the Heliana's Hunt and Dark Matter sets; they were combined into one sheet. The Dark Matter set had duplicates listed for Brain in a Jar, Mechademons, and Vortirrackt originally, but we only printed one of each of them.
Essential Encounters Stretch Goal Update
We sadly have decided not to provide the essential encounters of each set. The time and money requirement is not feasible at this time. Thanks for understanding.
How to Unpack Your Tokens: Suggestions from a Fellow Backer
I recently got an email from Tyler, one of your fellow backers. He took a lot of time to figure out how to unpack the tokens and wanted to share his insights with you all! Below I attached his instructions below! Make sure to give his email a read; he took a lot of time to find out what worked best for him.
Anything suggested we didn't test ourselves, so we're unaware if it may cause damages or not.

"I got my sets recently and wanted to share some suggestions with others to try to ease the pain in unboxing (especially if you ordered a large number of sets!)
If you want to minimize the amount of time it takes to get the plastic wrap off, I recommend peeling from the corner opposite the printed label on the acrylic sheet (e.g. SPL-RPG-SET-C), then pull across the narrow width of the sheet until you have two corners in hand, and then pull straight down the length of the sheet with mostly vertical tension and slight horizontal tension (you want to be pulling up more than you are pulling towards yourself. Try to create tension as you go along to encourage the plastic backing to come loose from tokens. You get a feel for it after a few sheets and I've been successful at stripping 100% of the backing from more than a few.
If some were missed on the initial peel, leave the tokens unpunched in the sheet, put them on a flat surface and sort of scrape/pull with your fingers from the top edge (the same direction you pulled from originally.) They should come loose easily.
Using these techniques, unboxing looks more like a few hours vs. a few days. Good luck!"

March Update - Shipping Part III

Shipping Update
Welcome to March! Fulfillment is in full swing in North America. Yay! Labels have been printed and will start being picked up by couriers today!
US and North American Backers
Yesterday we had a call with our North American fulfillment partners to find out why there was a delay in your packages going out. As we shared in the last update, we'd hoped they'd start going out about 2 weeks ago. It turns out there was an error in the item lists for every backer who backed for 1 of Each, 2 of Each, and 3 of Each. This resulted in around 450 of our packages having to be repackaged. The reasoning came down to the binders.
Those tiers came with binders prepackaged from the manufacturer. And unfortunately, all of those backers were initially given double the amount of binders, as the warehouse workers didn't know the binders were already in the 1, 2, and 3 of Each boxes. This was communicated (abundantly) but with as many people and systems involved, there's still grace for this mistake. Fortunately, when the warehouse ran out of binders, they realized something was wrong. We worked with them to redo the SKU list for every affected backer and those orders were repackaged.
Fast forward to today. All those labels have been printed and will start hitting trucks today! When those labels are scanned by the courier, most of you will get a shipping notification email with tracking number from Easy Ship. Please don't flood our messages asking for your tracking number right away. Give the system some time. At least a week. Even if your package goes out today, you may not get your notification until Monday.
22 backers. So, actually, 22 packages were given to couriers before the warehouse caught the packing error. If you're one of those and have double the number of binders, congrats!
Even though there was a delay, I am relieved knowing that there was a simple fix, and you should be receiving your tokens promptly.
European Backers
We continue to be in communication with VAT officials, and from what we know, all of our documents are delivered and in order. Currently, there is nothing that we can do besides wait for an update. The tone from our communications with VAT officials makes it seem like this holding period may take longer. I wish we could provide more details on how long is longer, but VAT officials have not communicated that with us. We know hearing this is frustrating because we are just as frustrated. We have not had VAT hold any of our shipping containers in the past, so this is new territory for us. We truly are doing everything in our power to get our container to our fulfillment warehouse in the EU so you can receive your tokens. As always, we will continue updating you as we find out more. Thank you all for your continued patience; I couldn't ask for a better community. ❤️
Asian Backers
As some of you have already shared in the comments, you've received your packages! Fulfillment to the Asian region is underway and going smoothly! We expect this area of fulfillment to be complete in the next few weeks if not sooner. Our fulfillment partner in this region doesn't provide tracking numbers, but will provide a report once everything is wrapped up. At that time we'll be able to address any potential issues. I believe, by next month's update, all of your orders will have been delivered.

Protective Plastic Layer
Just a reminder, all of your tokens have a protective layer of plastic. This layer may appear foggy or even scratched. Don't worry, peel it off and you'll have beautiful, crystal-clear acrylic. It's really amazing how well this thin layer of plastic protects the print.

Urgent Shipping Update - Check Your Address in Backerkit

Hey adventurers, Darryl here, a short, but important update today.
Final call to change your mailing address in Backerkit.
After sharing that shipping for North American backers would start as soon as next week (the week of the 10th) I received several panicked emails from some of you about changing your mailing address. Additionally, the warehouse has informed me that it will take a few more days to sort the massive amount of tokens and binders! Shipping labels will be printed until the 14th. This works out good for those address changes.
I've unlocked addresses on Backerkit. Please double-check your shipping address. We will relock them at the end of the day on February 13th.Even if you've emailed me directly, please take this opportunity to make sure everything is right. This is the last chance you'll have to make this change. Changes requested after the 13th will result in additional shipping charges.
To ensure everyone has a chance to check their address accuracy, you will also get a notification from Backerkit.
